Trying To Find Unique New Baby Gifts – What About Personalized Baby Gifts

Finally, the baby is here. The arrival of the cute little bundle of joy has been anxiously anticipated by everyone. The family is eagerly welcomed home by family, friends, and neighbors that are excited by the new arrival. Babies are indeed little miracles and blessings in our lives. The question is what will I get the baby? Is it best to play it safe with the cute stuffed animals and cute outfits or be unique and get personalized baby gifts? The possibilities to choose from are endless. This is definitely a fact I know. The combination of personalized baby gifts and the typical new baby gift is the way to go for the new baby. The throughtfulness you show to the new parents by giving the gift is what really matters.

I was so ecstatic when I got the call that my friend had her baby girl, Laura Ann. I jumped for joy and actually lost my balance, causing me to fall into the recyclables container as she told me that she had a baby girl. It surprised all of us. My mind had been running all night. I did not know where to start shopping in the morning. Since I had not known that it was a girl, now the pressure was on to find presents for the new arrival. I wanted to mail a personalized gift, but also wanted traditional gifts to give when I went to visit.

Early the next morning I found myself searching from store to store trying to pick out the perfect presents. Of course I purchased the traditional teddy bear and a few newborn outfits. In addition to the gifts I just purchased, I planned to buy more personal gifts. Some really good ideas were conceived as I was going through a baby boutique or two. I saw some beautiful gifts, but compared to the prices on the internet, the prices were outrageous.

I returned home to look for something unique for the baby on some cool websites after I had already worked up a sweat buying the typical pajamas and blankets. I had to grab my inhaler because I became so overwhelmed by all the choices. You only have one opportunity to buy gifts for the new baby. So, acting as though it were Christmas, I pulled out my credit card. I began with a cute little bank with her name on it. an engraved picture frame and finished with a personalized embroidered quilt with her name on it. I found great ideas for future gifts as I was purchasing these gifts to show how much I care. Now I had a list for ideas for gifts for baptism, birthdays, and for Christmas. Some future gifts I wanted to remember were a personalized toy box and a hand-painted rocking chair.

It will take extra time and effort to give a personalized baby gift! It demonstrates that you really care about the arrival of the new infant and the family too. Buying newborn baby gifts is a once-in-a-lifetime experience in that child’s life, so it should be a fun and exciting experience. Celebrating the arrival of the new baby is what the parents really appreciate, so it doesn’t matter if you give clothing or a personalized gift.

safety and coziness to your baby is your only option and 100% cotton fabric is

your best choice.

Following are descriptions of the different types of bedding available for each type of

baby furniture.

- Crib Bedding. For the early year of the baby’s life, the crib is the most suitable bed. Cribs are

available in many different types and we choose them for their durability and strength.

You can choose the standard crib or go for a more expensive crib such as a convertible / portable crib which is ideal for traveling. It recommended to buy the crib from a reputable company and the one you decide on must have no protruding pieces that the baby could knock against and

hurt itself. All screws and bolts etc need to be securly fastened and you should check these often.

- Bassinet Bedding. These are the choice for babies under 5 months. A perfect bassinet will have a soft mattress and a blanket. It should be made of a soft

material with ideally the color blending with the baby’s room colors, design and decor.

- Cradle bedding. The gentle rocking motion of cradles to make sure that your baby can sleep soundly. Light colored cradles are preferred by parents because they not only easily fit with most decor but you can notice when they get wet.

- Baby blankets. Blankets should be of a soft material and it should be non-toxic. Today there are many types of blankets to choose from that are soft, smooth and pleasant smelling with attractive and eye pleasing colors for boy or girl.

Baby bedding also has a model for boy or girl, or alternatively it could be gender neutral as well. The colorful paintand it usually covered with cute looking cartoons figured.

For the girls, the baby bedding is often in shades of pink, light blue and purples, and a baby girl’s bed is laid out fit for a princess. For the boy, the crib is often sport oriented, themed around super sport heroes, wrestling personalities or football and baseball stars. Baby bedding for boys are usually painted in darker and bolder colors.

There is no strict rule for crib bedding. There are a lot of neutral themes with Disney characters and cute animations.

In the first few years, baby is too small to understand the difference about having gender specific cartoons and animals because they are attracted to anything which is colorful; if it is pleasing to your eyes and makes you smile, it will do the same for your baby. There will come the time when little boys would feel a little awkward having his bed done in pinks and pastels!

When baby girls grow older, their bedroom could have blinds with the curtains hanging

on rods above. This gives the bed somewhat a princess bed appearance – after all, that

baby girls of yours is a princess, isn’t she!

It is fun to talk about bedding where there are many options for the parent – choosing the kinds and textures of sheets and the choices of colors and baby bedding patterns. It is up to you if you choose gender neutral baby bedding or something which would make your baby girl feel like a princess or your baby boy feel like a superhero!

How to Potty Train Your Child | Useful Advice and Tips

Every parent has to go through potty toilet training and there is never a shortage of advice from family and friends that have already gone through it.

This “how to potty train” advice can be counterproductive especially considering that every child is different and will develop at different stages in their life. As your child gets older there will be time when they will become more aware of their bowel movements and can happen anytime between 2 and 3 years of age.

Parents will experience all sorts of firsts with their children and potty training is just one of the many journeys.

So can you potty train your child? Will they be receptive to your instructions? Well yes you can and yes they will. A child will pick up a new skill very quickly due to their developing brain which can take a lot of information in. The same goes for training your child to use the toilet when they need to go. As mentioned before the signs will occur at different stages of a childs life.

So is your Child Ready?

Along with the cost of nappies or diapers most parents really don’t want to deal with the hassle of dirty nappy changes anymore but don’t be too hasty your child needs to be showing the signs of awareness that come along as they get older. If they are saying they need to go it means their little bodies are telling them something is different or that something is about to happen. This is the first sign.
Other signs can be:

• There bowel movements will occur at similar times of the day
• They can stay dry for long spells or wake with dry diapers or nappies
• They will tell you when they have soiled their nappy

As a guideline, again this is not set in stone but around the age of 2 to 2 and a half you may well start noticing the above behaviour patterns. Girls usually will be going before boys. Potty training boys takes a few extra techniques but all in all the process is pretty much the same.

When your child responds to commands like “Do you need to go and Wee wee” then this is another sign that your child is ready.
